Novus named presenting sponsor of world juniors of field lacrosse

COQUITLAM – The 2016 FIL Under-19 Men’s World Lacrosse Championship is pleased to announce Novus as the presenting sponsor for the world juniors of field lacrosse.

Running July 7-16, 2016, 15 teams will compete for the world championship at Coquitlam Town Centre Park near Vancouver.

Since lighting up its first buildings in 1996 in Downtown Vancouver, Novus has expanded its fibre optic network in Metro Vancouver to also provide high speed Internet, Television, and Phone service to residential and business customers in Coquitlam, Burnaby, Richmond, and Surrey. Proud of its local origins and deeply rooted in its community, Novus is a great supporter of many local groups and events that make the community a better place to live.

“Helping to connect communities and fostering our relationship with those who live in them is one of our core goals at Novus. Which is why Novus felt it was a great fit to be the Presenting Sponsor for the 2016 U19 Men’s Lacrosse World Championships in Coquitlam,” said Novus Co-President and CFO Doug Holman.

“We were thrilled to have the opportunity to support this event and saw a perfect fit,” added Novus Co-President and CLO, Donna Robertson. “We’re proud to be a part of the activities that make the City Of Coquitlam such a vibrant community.”

Tournament chair Cliff Pascas said he is very thankful for the community-focussed approach taken by Novus and is thrilled to have their support as the presenting sponsor.

“Novus fits with the values of our fans and sport – focussing on community first,” Pascas said. “I must say, we’re delighted to have Novus on board as the presenting sponsor and look forward to working collaboratively toward a memorable and entertaining world field lacrosse championship.”

One key component of the sponsorship has Novus providing internet service at the facility to support webcasting and communications.

“Their support is crucial to helping us to meet our goals and objectives and to showcase the tournament around the world,” Pascas said.
