World Festival
Lacrosse festivals are a celebration of lacrosse and historically cater for older players wishing to remain involved with the game, with divisions for Masters (35+) and Grand Masters (45+). Festivals have more recently expanded to include a very popular open age division, and junior and youth divisions.
There is a long-established tradition of successful festivals being run around the world, such as Vail and Lake Placid (US), Hong Kong Open (Hong Kong) and the Nick Kehoe International Tournament (UK).
The benefit of staging a festival alongside an U21 World Championships is that it gives all those involved a chance to support the upcoming generation of lacrosse players as they begin their international careers.
The focus of any festival is very much on the social and fun side that the lacrosse community is famous for. We believe that we may have stumbled upon the winning combination of Irish craic and lacrosse.
